Itinerary

  • Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu.

  1. Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu

    We start this experience with an early 3 am pick up from your accommodation in Cusco. After a one and a half hour shuttle ride, we will arrive in at the train station of Ollantaytambo, a charming town with various archeogical sites on the valley walls beside it. Once on the train, enjoy the views of this unique environment for two hours before arriving in Aguas Calientes. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will take a bus for approximately 30 minutes to the Inca Citadel of Machupicchu. Your local guide will guide you through the main sectors of the citadel including the Royal Mausoleum, the Temple of The Three Windows, the Main Temple, and the Sacred Square of the Intihuatana. Your guide will share their insight on the history, architecture, and culture of the Inca Citadel of Machupicchu. After, you’ll briefly have time to wander the archaeological site on your own before reconvening with your guide. Once back in Aguas Calientes, you’ll have the chance to eat lunch before boarding your afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo. Expect to arrive to your accommodation in Cusco with our private shuttle at around 7:30pm.
